American Association of School Administrators

Two programs: scholarships for outstanding graduate students who intend to pursue the public school superintendency as a career; scholarships for any type of post-high school education or training.

 

American Council on Education (ACE)

Offers fellowships for the ACE Fellows Program. The ACE Fellows Program is the premier higher education leadership development program in the country. It identifies and prepares senior faculty and administrators to become skilled in the leadership of change.

 

American Educational Research Association

Offers pre-dissertation and postdoctoral fellowships in educational research.

 

American Physical Society

Offers Congressional Postgraduate Science Fellowships to society members who will assist members of Congress in understanding the technical and scientific issues of global warming, energy policy, defense technologies, AIDS, pollution, communications technologies, and more. Offer special awards for APS members who are on the faculty in physics (and closely related) departments and to those who have made significant and innovative contributions in the application of physics to science and technology.

 

American Physiological Society, The

Offers the Porter Physiology Graduate Fellowships to

Offers several different awards and fellowships to those pursuing doctoral degrees in the physiological and biomedical sciences. Special programs are designed for physiology educators, minorities, and women.

 

American Press Institute (API)

The Minority Journalism Educators Fellowship is open to college-level journalism educators who are members of a recognized minority group.

 

Cross Cultural Institute

Offers future American educators graduate fellowships for one year of research and study in Japan.

 

Fetzer Institute

The Fetzer Institute's Fellows and Senior Scholars Program is open to individuals working in a variety of backgrounds including the arts, business, education, health care, service, and science. Offers a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in theoretical bioelectromagnetics.

 

Harry S. Truman Scholarship Foundation

Offers scholarships to college juniors with exceptional leadership potential who are committed to careers in government, the non-profit or advocacy sectors, education or elsewhere in the public service.

 

Hispanic Heritage Awards Foundation

Hispanic achievers receive awards in five areas: Leadership, Sports, Literature, Education and the Arts, plus a lifetime achievement award.

 

Inter-American Foundation

Offers graduate level fellowships to work in Latin America and the Caribbean to promote equitable, responsive, and participatory self-help development.

 

International Reading Association

Offers over thirty awards and grants in nine different categories.

 

James Madison Memorial Fellowship Foundation

The Foundation offers James Madison Fellowships to a select group of individuals desiring to become outstanding teachers of the American Constitution.

 

Lambda Alpha International

Offers graduate scholarships for the study of land economics.

 

National Association of School Psychologist

Offers a minority scholarship program for students pursuing careers in school psychology.

 

Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, The

The foundation's Minority Medical Faculty Development Program offers four-year, postdoctoral research fellowships to minority physicians who have demonstrated superior academic and clinical skills and who are committed to careers in academic medicine.

 

Rockefeller Brothers Fund

Offers postdoctoral scholarships in medical science to those pursuing careers as academic physicians.

 

Spencer Foundation

The foundation grants funds to support research that contribute to the understanding of education and improvement of its practice.

 

Target  

The Target All Around Scholarship is awarded to high school seniors and current college students who demonstrate a commitment to volunteer work and community service. Also offers scholarships to teacher and administrators who plan to enroll in a continuing education course.
